Thanks for your comment. To say that the source of existence is love is to say that it is ultimately God’s love for Himself that is the “cause” of creation, for creation is nothing other than the refelection of His attirbutes or in Sufi terms the bringing out of the “Hidden Treasure”.

So what does it mean to say that the source of existence (i.e., God) is love? I would argue the question points to the metaphysics of love rather than simply saying that God creates existence (or, the world) because God loves it.
