Hz Wasif Ali Wasif was a writer, poet and sufi from Pakistan. He has left behind a number of books as well as recordings of talks which a treasure trove of wisdom. His writings are praised for their literary style as much as for their content. I translated a piece of his essay a while ago here. I have always found him to be thought provoking and enlightening. A few sayings:
– When the heart becomes the eye, the eye becomes the heart.
– The world is ancient but it has still not lost its freshness.
– When the child is ill, the mother knows how to pray.
– Some are dead in life and some are alive in death.
